Silver brazingManufacturers believe that brazing refers to the method of using a filler metal (called solder or brazing material) with a melting point lower than that of the base material (brazing material), heating the workpiece and filler metal to a temperature above that of the base material, wetting the base material with liquid filler metal, filling the joint gap, and connecting the workpieces through diffusion with the base material.
Silver brazing manufacturers believe that brazing has small deformation, smooth and aesthetically pleasing joints, and is suitable for welding precision, complex, and components made of different materials, such as honeycomb structure plates, turbine blades, hard alloy tools, printed circuit boards, etc. Brazing is mainly used for manufacturing electric heating products, hardware accessories, air conditioning parts, locomotive parts, electrical components, and other dissimilar metals.
Silver brazingManufacturers believe that the filler metal used in brazing is called solder (brazing paste). The brazing process involves assembling cleaned workpieces in an overlapping manner and placing the filler metal near or between the joint gaps. When the workpieces and filler metal are heated to slightly above the melting point of the filler metal, the filler metal melts (the workpieces do not melt) and is drawn into the gaps between solid workpieces by capillary action. The liquid filler metal diffuses and dissolves with the workpiece metal, forming a brazed joint after cooling.

(1) Brazing has a low heating temperature, smooth joints, minimal changes in microstructure and mechanical properties, small deformation, and accurate workpiece dimensions.
(2) It can weld dissimilar metals and materials without strict limitations on workpiece thickness.
(3) Some brazing methods can simultaneously weld multiple workpieces and joints, resulting in high productivity.
(4) Brazing equipment is simple with low production investment costs.
Silver brazingManufacturers believe that brazing is not suitable for welding general steel structures and heavy dynamic components; it is mainly used for manufacturing precision instruments, electrical components, dissimilar metal components, and complex thin-walled structures such as sandwich components and honeycomb structures. It is also commonly used for brazing various different metal wires and hard alloy tools. During brazing, after cleaning the contact surfaces of the brazed workpieces thoroughly, they are assembled in an overlapping manner with the filler metal placed near or directly into the joint gap. When the workpieces and solder are heated to slightly above the melting temperature of the solder, it will melt and wet the surface of the workpieces. The liquid solder will flow and diffuse along the seam through capillary action. Therefore, the brazed metals and solder dissolve into each other to form an alloy layer which solidifies to create a brazed joint.
Silver brazing manufacturers believe that brazing has been widely applied in machinery, motors, instruments and meters, radio departments etc. Hard alloy tools, drill bits, bicycle frames, heat exchangers, conduits, and various containers are included. In manufacturing microwave waveguides, electronic tubes, and electronic vacuum devices, brazing is even a better connection method. It has minimal impact on the physical and chemical properties of base materials; welding stress and deformation are small; it can complete multiple welds on dissimilar metals with significant differences in weldability; joints appear neat and aesthetically pleasing; equipment is simple; production investment is low. However, brazed joints have low strength and poor heat resistance.
