It is also known as the 'universal adhesive' in industry, playing an important role in the development of our country's industry and is considered a basic industry encouraged and supported by the state.

In recent years, with the rapid development of the industry, Huaguang New Materials, a major domestic manufacturer of brazing materials, successfully landed on the Science and Technology Innovation Board. After more than twenty years of accumulation, it has strong capabilities in product formula research and development, processing equipment, and process innovation, forming a technical system that integrates formula research and development, production process control, and quality testing.

The brazing materials in space equipment allow sensors to be installed as close to the engine as possible for more accurate measurement and monitoring of output, feeding data back to operators. Then, task control and crew members can accurately read and measure data and outputs related to fuel efficiency, temperature, gas flow, and monitor fire detection or anomalies. If these sensors are too far from the engine, data readings can become inaccurate, potentially affecting missions.

At the end of 2018, after a rocket launch failure, two astronauts had to suspend their flight to the International Space Station (ISS). After 119 seconds of flight, the Soyuz spacecraft began to malfunction, with crew members reporting issues first rather than mission control. The crew described feelings of weightlessness, indicating problems during that phase of flight. They ejected the capsule from the rocket and safely returned to Earth.

Although the cause of the failure is yet to be determined, such situations should not occur. Any issues should be handled by mission control rather than relying on crew judgment. The brazing materials in this process play an important role.

The current challenge is that these sensors are made of ceramics because they need to be corrosion-resistant and withstand high temperatures (up to 950°C). A reliable filler alloy is needed to connect these ceramic sensors to the metal components of the engine. The research and development of these filler alloys is very difficult and somewhat limits the reliable operation of aerospace equipment.

Active brazing can bond metals with ceramics or ceramics together. Incusil-ABA and Ticusil were designed for this application in the United States about 40 years ago and are still in use today. Currently, they are developing new brazing materials for parts that operate at higher temperatures.
