Flux-cored wires have a short storage time in the atmosphere; they can be divided into narrow gap and seamless types based on manufacturing processes, but most are narrow gap types. These wires can absorb moisture when stored in the atmosphere, increasing moisture content in the flux. Additionally, due to humidity, they are difficult to dry again. Therefore, it is essential to use them immediately after opening sealed packaging; any remaining wires should be stored in a drying box and cannot be reused after exceeding specified time limits. Welders must pay attention to this during actual operations.
